Telus is one of the major players on the telecommunications scene in Canada. This article gives you a list of the most commonly used routers on Telus, along with their default login details.

Nothing is working: What do I do?
We recently got a complaint from someone who, after following the router login steps given in another article, found out that he could still not log into his router’s admin area. Well, that sometimes happens, usually because somebody will have previously changed some of the default settings.
As an example, somebody could have changed the Telus router password from the default. On some routers, that’s the right approach, particularly on those that use the same generic password across the board. As an example, most Huawei routers use admin as both the username and password.
In that case, it’s a good idea to find a new password the first time that you get into your router’s settings area. That’s what many people actually do. The trouble is that they forget their newly chosen passwords immediately afterwards, which can be a problem when they try to log in one more time. So, is there a solution in that case?
Reset your Telus router
Fortunately, you have the option to reset your Telus router to be able to log in with the default password that’s printed on the router label. All routers come with a reset button. It’s usually located on the bottom of the device.
You will have to get something pointed for you to be able to press on this button. Keep pressing for about 15 seconds. When the reset has been done, your Telus router will switch off and on.
Now when the reset is completed, you will be able to log in using the default Telus router password that’s printed on the label that’s on the device.
All Telus router password information is on the router label
Here is a bit of good news; all the information that’s needed for logging into your Telus router can be found on the device itself. Most people are not aware of this fact. You may have spend hours Googling while trying to locate the Telus router password.
Well, you didn’t have to. The data that you were trying to find was before you all the time. This applies for the majority of routers and modems that are out there. Login information can be found on a sticker on the device. That’s usually on the bottom of the router.

- Enter the details given above.
- Press enter and you will be taken into the device’s dashboard.
How to find the Telus IP address using Command Prompt
We have already noted that you need to have the default Telus router IP address to be able to log into the settings page of your device. You also need the Telus router password and the username. That information can be found on the router sticker.
Also there is the login IP address for your router. But here is a little trick that applies for any router or modem; it’s easy to find the IP address using Command Prompt. To do that, you need to take the following steps;
- Connect your computer to your Telus router’s WiFi.
- Open Command Prompt.
- Type in ipconfig.
- Press enter.
- Scroll down to Default Gateway. That’s Telus router web address.
Why go through all this trouble?
Most people struggle when it comes to getting to their routers’ settings page. The majority do not know how to do it in the first place. And when they have researched online, things do not always work as described.
We have already stated that sometimes the default Telus router login details given above do not work. That’s usually because the details have previously been changed. So, should this happen, you will have to reset your router.
It’s not much, but it can be trouble for those doing it for the first time. So, why would you go through the trouble? What are the reasons for wanting to get into your Telus router’s settings page? There are several possible reasons;
Maybe you have come up with a new Telus router password. It’s advisable to do so from time to time. With neighbors always on the hunt for freebies, chances are high that your password will become compromised after some time. Before you know it, you will be providing free internet to the whole neighborhood.
Or maybe you are looking to implement that hilarious WiFi name that you have just come up with. Changing the name of your connection is another way of protecting yourself. It means people around you won’t know which network belongs to who, meaning they won’t have reason to try and guess your password.
Those are the Telus router passwords and usernames. Hopefully, this information has been helpful. We provided you with the means for finding the correct login details for your Telus router or for any other router. Every bit of information that you need is there on the sticker on the bottom of the device. Please leave a comment below if you have something to say.
