Windows computers have long had the ability to capture screenshots. If you are the average user, this is a functionality that you are probably not going to be bothered with. However, for bloggers like me, screenshots tend to be lifesavers. They allow me to capture moments on my PC, in the form of pictures, that I can use on such things as featured images for my posts. Where are screenshots saved in Windows 10?
In Windows 10, screenshots are saved in a folder named “Screenshots.” This folder can be found in the “Pictures,” folder. The Screenshots, folder is, therefore, a sub-folder in the Pictures folder.
Can I change the location of the Screenshots folder?
That’s the answer to the question where are screenshots stored in Windows 10. But can you change this location? Yes, you can change the location of the screenshots folder on your Windows 10 computer. As you can see in the above screenshot, I have moved the Screenshots folder to the desktop on my laptop.
The good thing is that I do not need to change any settings on my computer to redirect my screenshots to the new location of the Screenshots folder on my computer. It doesn’t matter where the folder is located. Any new screenshot that I take will be store in this folder.
