Here is a bit of good news for NetOne subscribers; now you can stop NetOne from using your SIM balance for data. As one of those people who rely heavily on NetOne for internet connectivity, I have to say this is a great development. I can’t remember the number of times that I have lost my precious money after going over my data limit. The following is how to disable out of bundle browsing on NetOne;
Disable Out of Bundle Browsing NetOne
To disable out of bundle browsing on NetOne, all that you need to do is the following;
- Dial *130#
- Choose “Out of Bundle Data Charging.”
- Choose “Block.”
That’s it. That’s how you disable out of bundle data browsing on a NetOne line. Again, I need to repeat that this is a great thing. I have previously written an article in which I show you how to disable out of bundle data browsing on an Econet line.
What happens when I stop NetOne out of bundle browsing?
Disabling out of bundle browsing on your NetOne line means that the moment that you exhaust your data bundle, you will no longer be able to connect to the internet. This applies even if you have some money in your SIM/line. It’s actually surprising that NetOne has only just released this life saving feature. As already mentioned, I have probably lost tens of dollars while going beyond my data limit. So this new feature is useful.
Is NetOne data affordable?
NetOne, it is safe to say, has some of the most affordable data bundles that can be found in Zimbabwe. That was one of the reasons why I stuck with the line, despite the fact that I was occasionally losing my money due to the out of data browsing issue. That’s it.
