This is one of the most comment routers in use among Shaw customers. To change the Shaw WiFi password on a Hiltron CGNM-2250 modem, you need to take the following steps;

1. Connect your computer to the Shaw WiFi network whose password you wish to change.
2. Open a browser on your computer and, in the address bar, type in 192.168.0.1. Press enter when done.
3. Doing this takes you to the login page for your Hiltron Modem. Now you need to log in using the default username and password.
4. The default username for a Shaw Hiltron router is cusadmin.
5. Next, enter the default password for your modem. You can find this on a sticker on your modem, usually underneath.
6. In the Hiltron router’s admin page, go to Wireless. This can be found at the top of your page.
7. You will notice that you have 2.4G, 5G or guest bands on the router. These are all networks on your router. Click on the one whose WiFi password you wish to change.  
8. Next, you need to go to Multiple SSID Settings.
9. From there, Go to the Pass phrase section and enter the new Shaw password that you wish to use for your WiFi.
10. Remember to click on Save to complete your changes.
11. Now you will need to reconnect all your WiFi devices to the network using the new password.

How to Change Wifi Password Shaw Cisco 3848v modem

This is another type of modem that’s commonly used for Shaw Fibre internet. To change the Shaw WiFi password on a Cisco 3848v modem, you need to take the following steps;

1. Turn on your computer and connect it to the WiFi network on which you wish to do a password change.
2. Open a browser on your computer and Type in the IP address 192.168.0.1. Press enter when done.
3. You will now be taken to the Cisco router’s login page. Type in the default username and password.
4. The default username for a Shaw CISCO modem by is cusadmin.
5. The default password for your Cisco router can be found on a sticker on your router. Turn it around and look for a section where it’s written S/N. The number in front of that has 9 digits and usually starts with 2. That’s the default password for your modem.
6. In your modem’s Admin Console, go to Wireless.
7. Next, you need to go to Wireless Security. You will notice that your router has 2 WiFi networks. These are on the 2.4GHz and on the 5GHz bands.
8. From there, you will need to tg to Pre-shared key under 2.4GHz Wireless Security and type in a new WiFi password.
9. Next, go to 5GHz Wireless Security and type in a new password in the Pre Shared Key Section.
10. When done, click on Save Settings.
11. Exit from the modem’s Admin Console and reconnect your devices to your Shaw WiFi using the new password.

How to change Shaw WiFi Password on a Cisco 3825 modem

The 3825 is another WiFi modem from Cisco that’s used for Shaw Fibre customers in Canada. If you have this modem in your home or office, the following is how to change the WiFi password;

1. Connect your computer to the Shaw WiFi network whose password you wish to change.
2. Open a browser and, in the address bar, type in 192.168.0.1.
3. Click enter when done.
4. Next, you will be taken to the login page for your modem’s Admin Console.
5. Log in using the default username and password.
6. The default username for a Cisco 3825 modem is cusadmin.
7. The default password for a Cisco 3825 modem can be found on a sticker on the modem. The password is the 9 digit number, usually starting with 2, in front of S/N.
8. When done, press enter and you will be taken into your router’s Admin Console.
9. Here, you need to go to Setup.
10. From there, go to Quick Setup.
11. Next, go to Pre-Shared Key. This is where you can change your WiFi password.
12. When done, click on Save Settings.
13. Finally, reconnect your devices to the network using your newly changed password.

Shaw Change Wifi Password on a BlueCurve Gateway

If you have the BlueCurve Gateway in your home, then the following is how to change the Shaw WiFi password;

1. Make sure that your computer is connected to your Shaw internet, either via Ethernet or via WiFi.
2. On your computer, open a browser and type 10.0.0.1 into the address bar. Press enter when done.
3. You will now be taken to the login page for the Shaw Gateway’s admin section. Log in using the default username and password.
4. The default username for a BlueCurve Gateway is admin.
5. The default password for a BlueCurve Gateway is password.
6. Now you will need to change your router password. That’s not the WiFi password. It’s the password for getting into your BlueCurve Gateway.
7. After updating your admin password, you will need to go to Connection.
8. From there, you will need to go to WiFi.
9. You will notice that your modem has two networks, the 2.4GHz and the 5GHz. You should give these networks different names. If you use one name, you will only see one network on your devices.
10. Change the names under Network Name (SSID)
11. On each of the networks, go to Network Password and change the password.
12. When done, choose Save Settings.
13. Now you should reconnect your devices to your WiFi network using the new password.

Shaw Change WiFi Password on an Arris SBG6782 modem

The Arris SBG6782 router is another type of modem that you are likely to find in use among Shaw customers. If you have this particular modem in your home, the following is how to do a Shaw change of WiFi password;

1. Connect your computer to the Shaw WiFi network whose password you wish to change.
2. Now you need to open a browser on your computer. In the address bar, type in; 192.168.0.1 and press enter.
3. You will now be taken to the login page for your router. Enter the username and password to log in.
4. The default username for an Arris SBG6782 modem is cusadmin.
5. The default password for an Arris WiFi router can be found on a sticker on the bottom of the device.
6. In your modem’s admin console, go to Quick Start Wizard and click on Manage WiFi Network.
7. You will see that you have 2 WiFi bands; one at 2.4GHz and another at the 5GHz.
8. Click on the one on which you wish to make a Shaw WiFi password change.
9. Now you need to go to the Passphrase section to change the password.
10. When done, click on Apply.
11. Finally, you will now have to reconnect your devices to your Shaw network using the new password.

1. Connect your PC to the Shaw WiFi network on which you need to do a password change.
2. Next, open a browser. In the address bar, type in 192.168.0.1 and press enter.
3. Now you will need to use the default username and password to log into the SMC Admin Dashboard.
4. The default username for the Shaw password is cusadmin.
5. You will find the default password on the SMC Admin router.
6. Now you will need to go to the Wireless section.
7. Next, go to Encryption.

• You need the default username and password for your modem’s admin console.
• With this information, you can get in your router’s settings page to change the WiFi password.

Everything that you need will be written on a sticker on your Shaw modem

This tip applies for any router that’s out there. To get into your modem, you need the default I.P, username and password. The good news is all this information can usually be found on a sticker on your modem. Turn it around and look at the back. If it’s not there, look underneath the device. Use the data that’s on the sticker to get into your router’s back-end.  This is where you can then do a Shaw WiFi password change.

You can do a reset if you have forgotten your password

On some routers, you are required to change your router password the first time that you log into your router’s admin section. However, most people tend to forget the passwords that they use here.
