Econet Internet Settings for Android Mobile Phones
What are the Econet internet settings for Android mobile phones? If you have recently purchased a new phone, you will, no doubt, be looking to get it connected to the internet. With WhatsApp and other social media platforms gaining traction in Zimbabwe over the past few years, getting your phone’s internet settings right is absolutely imperative. Most of the time, Econet will sent you the settings for your phone as soon as you insert you SIM into the device. However, this does not always happen. If that is the case, you will need to manually setup your phone with the Econet Internet settings. Below are the Econet settings for android;
- Go to your phone’s “Settings.”
- Choose “Cellular Networks.”
- Click on Access Point Names (APNs)
- Click on the + sign to set a new APN
- Under Name type in “Econet”
- Next, type in econet.net under APN
- The authentication type should be “PAP or CHAP
- The MCC should be 648
- The APN type should be “default,supl”
- The APN protoc is IPv4
Leave everything else as it is and save your new settings. Now you should have the Econet APN under your APNs and you should be able to connect to the internet on your mobile device.
Saving Data on an Android Device
