How to Change the Color Scheme in the WordPress Admin Area
Dedicated bloggers and website administrators will spend hours every day glued to their screens while working on their WordPress websites. If you are one of these, you may, at some point, become tired of having the same color schemes in your WordPress dashboard. The good news is that it’s easy enough to change the color scheme in the WordPress admin area. This, without doubt, will help liven things up a bit.
How to change the color scheme in WordPress
To change the color scheme in your WordPress Dashboard, all that you need to do is the following;
- Log into your WordPress website
- Hover your mouse on “Users,” and click on “Your Profile.”
- Change the Admin Color Scheme under “Personal Options.”
Which color schemes are available?
The following admin color schemes are available;
- Default
- Light
- Blue
- Coffee
- Ectoplasm
- Midnight
- Ocean
- Sunrise
You will want to experiment with the available color schemes to get the one that you most prefer. You may also discover, after the experiment, that you have become so used with the Default color scheme that anything else no longer looks right. That is what happened to us. We have gotten so used to the current scheme in our WordPress website that we can no longer opt for anything else.
Which color scheme are we using?
So, which color scheme are we using on our WordPress Website? Well, after a bit of experimentation, we discovered that we much prefer the Ectoplasm color scheme. As said, you will want to carry out an experiment to determine the best color scheme for you.
If you would like to have a Dark Theme on your WordPress admin area, you can achieve this through the use of a plugin, as we point out in another article. This, we have to say, is much better than the color schemes that come native to WordPress.
