To split your screen 2 ways in Windows 10, all that you need to do is the following;

  1. Open the two programs that you wish to have side by side
  2. Click and hold onto the first program while dragging it to the right or your screen.
  3. To split one monitor into two screens, you need to pretend as if you are going to throw the Window right off the edge of the screen.
  4. Click and hold onto the second program while dragging it to the left of your screen. Again, you need to pretend as if you are going to throw the window off the edge of your screen to split the screen on your PC. You will see that each of these programs will now occupy half of the screen.
