Have WordPress articles published at a later date
To Schedule WordPress Posts for Publication at a later date, you need to take the following steps;
- Write your article, either on WordPress or on Microsoft Office Word
- If you wrote your article on Word, paste it into WordPress
- Under the “Publish,” section to the right of your screen click on the “Edit,” button in front of “Publish Immediately.”
- Type in the date that you wish to have WordPress schedule your post for publication.
- When done, click on “OK”
That’s it. Now when your article is ready for publication, you simply click on the “Schedule,” button. You will notice that this will have replaced the “Publish,” button. Your article will now only be published at the time and date of your choosing.
Why schedule a post for publication at a later date?
We have already given one reason why you may wish to postpone publication of your article in WordPress. Another reason would be if you wish to have the post published at a specific point in time.
