Whatever happened to the Windows 10 October 2018 Update?
A while back, we wrote a number of articles in anticipation of the release of the Windows 10 October 2018 update. We talked about the Windows 10 download size, problems with low disk space when making the update and the solutions to these problems. Writing such articles releases is something that bloggers do in order to get the most out of every release. If you write a story, as an example, about problems with the Windows 10 version-something-or-the-other update, and it later turns out that there are multiple issues with the release, then it is more than likely that your content will get ranked ahead of the pack. However, in this case, we do have to say that we have been left with egg on our face.
Where is the Windows 10 October 2018 Update?
After writing a number of stories about the October 2018 update, the whole thing turned into a debacle because Microsoft pulled the plug on the update a few days after releasing it. It turned out that the company had not fully done it’s homework, leading to the complete wiping out of data on some computers during the update.
Is the October 2018 update about to be released?
Now, based on some harakiri, one Russian website has just made the claim that the Windows 10 October 2018 Update release date is likely to tomorrow. Wonder if they will rename it to the November 2018 update? Anyway, if that is true, we can only hope that all the issues with the Windows update have been ironed out.
No need to rush to get the Windows 10 October 2018 Update
Based on the challenges that the latest version of Windows 10 has encountered, it is probably advisable for you to stay away from the update during the first few weeks. That is, assuming of course that the Russian website in question has gotten the Windows 10 October 2018 Update release date correct. In fact, we are going to wait a month or so before getting the new version of Windows 10 on our computer (should it ever be released).
